The Deacon's @ Grace - Ministering To Our Congregation

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Deacons have implemented a congregational care plan to support and meet specific needs of our people over the coming weeks and months. If there are specific needs that you are experiencing or are aware of within the congregation please contact the Deacons directly at Specific actions include:

1. Caring for the Isolated: Checking on people who are already isolated from the church (such as those living in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or by themselves at home). We will be making sure they are safe and are provided essential items (food, cleaning supplies, house work, access to worship, etc.).

2. Caring for the Sick: Keeping track of and caring for anyone in our congregation who may become ill from COVID-19. We will strive to keep in contact with them and help meet their medical and physical needs (at a distance and without physical contact) as they are quarantined in their home or at the hospital.

3. Deacon’s Benevolence Fund: Chaired by Deacon Tim Ellis, the Deacon's Fund seeks to assist those hardest hit financially. Please contact any Deacon (David Carter, Matt Hypes, Tim Ellis, Nick Alexander), Laura Pearson or Shannon Davidson if you are aware of such needs (e.g., rent, mortgages,  medicine, co-pays, food).

Ministering To Our Community

As we strive to care for our church family during these days, we also want to be "good neighbors," just as Jesus teaches us to be in the parable of the Good Samaritan - to have mercy on others! If you become aware of tangible needs of others in your neighborhood or life circles, please contact Laura Pearson (540-817-0854; so that our church body can come alongside you, if needed, to "love your neighbor."
